While earning their MBAs at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, they immersed themselves in the business foundations of the distilled spirits industry. What began as a passion project quickly evolved into a shared vision: creating a company rooted in the belief that premium spirits have a way of bringing people together.

After retiring from active-duty service, Lou and Dave deepened their expertise—earning a Master’s Certificate in the Distilled Spirits Industry from the University of Louisville and completing the prestigious Distiller’s Course at Moonshine University in Kentucky.
